amazing

I just noticed that Rachel changed her profile to state “Retired Reality competition winner and game player.”
Do you really think this is the last we’ll see of Rachel or Brenchel on reality tv?

Some BB Facts

(Source: CBS PRESS EXPRESS)

  • Since the summer of 2000, BB finishes among the summer’s top-rated series in young demographics. Season 14 averaged 6.79 million viewers.
  • Big Brother hits the trifecta: on air on CBS, online, and on cable with showtimes after dark.
  • Big Brother is one of TV’s most socially engaged series. On Twitter in Season 14, BB had 5x the average # of tweets per episode compared to Season 13.

Janelle’s Pregnancy Tweets (in case you missed them!)

Some things I missed…

Sorry guys, while I was away here were some things I missed!

1. Janelle Pierzina is pregnant, healthy, and having a baby boy due in August. Violet will have a little baby brother! Congrats!

2. Lawon still posts inspirational quotes. “Remember, you are beautiful/handsom. Now tweet dat!”

3. Robyn Kass of Kassting (casting company for BB) is dilligently casting for Season 15. There’s still time.

4. Matt Hoffman married Brendon and Rachel. I knew they got married, but didn’t know that!

5. Kalia posts about her favorite workout music. Check out her blog here.

Michelle Noonan on Millionaire Matchmaker

It’s probably no secret that I’m a bit of a Reality TV junkie, and of course, whenever I see two of my “Reality TV Worlds” collide, I get super excited.

While watching a recent re-run of Millionaire Matchmaker, I saw Michelle Noonan “audition” to go to the mixer. I literally jumped out of my seat. Although she had plastic surgery done and completely changed her look and style (see photos above), I recognized her right off the bat. She was definitely playing up a more silly and confident Michelle (maybe even a bit ditzy, even though she was sure to say you can be blonde and smart). She was picked to go to the mixer, but was not picked for a one-on-one date.

Just thought I’d share that little tidbit. The episode has been replaying, so if you have Bravo, check it out! It’s within the first half hour of the show.

No more Superpass?

Ok so I’m back on Tumblr, gearing up for Season 15 and the first thing I see is a post from the fabulous BigBroForum mentioning that Superpass will be no longer… that CBS is switching to some sort of feed hosted by them. I did some investigating on my own, and see that many other sites are reporting the same.

Although I keep an open mind, this news doesn’t excite me right off the bat mainly for one reason…

So many amazing Big Brother blogs, websites, and forums, run off of profits generated from Superpass referrals (i.e. everytime you click and sign up from your favorite BB website, they get a commission). The primary reason anyone runs a blog  is certainly not for the money, but there are some blogs out there that devote 110% of their time and energy (some even work in shifts to make sure the feed is covered at all times). I can imagine this will be a huge financial hit to them. I’m just afraid that some of these blogs won’t be able to provide the same experience as they have in previous years.

A few reasons they might be changing the format could be due to complaints about cutting the feed at certain times (if they turn out to be free, and you don’t pay for the feeds, you can’t complain!). Perhaps they just want to keep everything “in-house” so to speak. I guess we’ll see what this is all about soon.

With an extended season, and now this possible change, it sure will be an interesting #15.

Stay tuned!

SPRING IS HERE

Which means BB15 is getting closer!

Clearly I’ve been on hiatus as BB has been off-season. In that time I’ve gotten engaged and have been planning a wedding, even switching jobs. Things have been hectic!

I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I will be here for Season 15, and couldn’t be more excited. I hope you will join me as well :)

Thanks for sticking with me each year. You make the BB experience so much more enjoyable and fun for me.

DANI AND DOM ARE MARRIED

BY STEVE HELLING
In a bohemian-style wedding Saturday afternoon, Big Brother alums Dominic Briones and Daniele Donato tied the knot at the Newland House Museum in Huntington Beach, Calif. The couple met while filming CBS’s Big Brother 13 in the summer of 2011. She was a returning contestant; he, a newbie. “Truth be told, I really didn’t like him at first,” she says with a laugh. “I thought he was a little troublemaker. But we became friends, and although I didn’t like him like that, it just grew.” She adds, “After the finale, we became inseparable. We got to know each other really well, and we fell in love!” As their relationship developed, Briones says he tried to think of the perfect way to propose. “I took Dani on a road trip last August and we stopped at the St. Louis Zoo,” he says. “We both love penguins, because they mate for life, so I set up a behind-the-scenes tour without her knowing. One of the zoo workers brought out two little penguins. As we were playing with them, I turned and popped the question right there. She loved it!” The ring, he says, “is a solitary diamond with a half bezel set. She had told me what she liked and didn’t like, but it was still a surprise.” Avoided Tradition
Next came the wedding planning. “We wanted something that was a good reflection of who we are,” says Daniele. “We didn’t want a traditional ceremony, because that’s not exactly us.” After looking at “maybe 1,000 dresses,” Daniele found the perfect one online – a vintage-style dress from BHLDN, the wedding line of Anthropologie. “It’s vintage but modern,” she says, “with little sequins in copper. I’m sort of a hippie girl. I saw the dress and immediately knew it was the one. I went into one bridal stores and I felt like the dresses looked like down comforters. So when I saw this, I was like, ‘Perfect.’ We had a much harder time looking for something for Dominic to wear.” Briones wore dark purple pants from the Gap and a matching plaid purple shirt and a cardigan sweater. His bow tie was off-white, with matching Converse shoes. The bridal party included family and friends. The ring bearer was the 5-year-old son of Big Brother 6 contestant April Lewis. Fittingly, he was dressed as a penguin. The bridesmaids and groomsmen entered to the strains of Meiko’s “Stuck On You.” “It’s an upbeat, happy song,” says Donato. “And this is the happiest day of my life, so it made perfect sense.” Honeymoon on Hold

When the bride walked down the aisle – with her grandmother giving her away – the DJ played The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love.” About 120 guests – including Big Brother and Amazing Race couple Brendan and Rachel Reilly Villegas – watched as the bride and groom exchanged vows. After the ceremony, there was a cocktail hour, followed by dinner. The spread included a panini section, a pasta area and a gourmet macaroni and cheese bar for the kids. The couple have no immediate honeymoon planned, but both have a future trip in mind. “I’ve always wanted to go to an airport and take the next flight to wherever it goes out,” says Briones. “That’s what we’re going to do.” “I don’t care where we go for the honeymoon,” says Daniele. “All I care about is that I married my best friend, and we’re going to share our lives together. We mesh so well. We don’t like being away from each other. We love being around each other so much. That’s enough for me. I couldn’t be happier.”
